How to prepare:
Take a chawan (tea bowl). Pour in warm water, dip in your chasen (bamboo whisk), and wait a bit — let the bristles soften.
Wipe the bowl dry with a napkin and sift in 2g of matcha. No clumps, please!
Add 80 ml of water at 60°C and whisk in a zigzag motion for about 40 seconds until you get a smooth foam.
Final touch: slow down and gently lift the whisk to pop larger bubbles, leaving that silky texture. Got it? Done!
Rinse your chasen and enjoy the moment. And yes — slurping is totally okay. That’s the tradition here :)
