When you first catch a whiff of fig, cherry, baked pear, and acacia honey, you'll definitely want to look around to make sure it's all coming from Colombia El Porvenir. And when the richly acidic taste of cider, cherry, and honey envelops you from within, any doubts will vanish – this coffee is truly special.
The body of the drink is above average, and the aftertaste is rich. In short, it's time for a coffee break, and let the whole world wait.
The El Porvenir farm is located in the La Pradera community in the Gigante municipality, Huila – Colombia's largest coffee region. Its proximity to the country's highest volcano, Nevado del Huila, makes the taste and aroma of this lot very unique.
The mountainous terrain has influenced the formation of fertile volcanic soils here and the significant altitude at which coffee grows, with large temperature fluctuations between day and night. This slows down the ripening of the beans, ensuring rich, sweet, and complex cups. Local lots regularly receive recognition at the Cup of Excellence, and in 2013, the region received Denomination of Origin status.
When you buy 1 kg of coffee, you always get a great offer, as the price already includes a 5% discount.
